Rear derailleur noise...again

Sorry to start another thread about this, but I didn't find any answers after searching. I'm getting a lot of noise coming from my rear derailleur on my bike. It's been noisy since day one and hasn't gotten any better after adjusting, readjusting, or time. The noise sounds like rubbing coming from the jokey pulley. The strangest part of it all is that the noise actually gets better until it completely disappears the harder I cross chain (small to small). My bike has a 3x10 setup with all shimano 105 components. Can anybody shed some light as to what could be causing this noise? And yes, I've checked the routing of the chain.

Start with the b-bolt. It's the screw that interfaces with the sharkfin on the deraileur hanger. If that doesn't do it, your chain probably isn't the right length.

Is the chain routed the correct way round the RD's cage? Should be if the bike was bought new, but if not it's an easy mistake to make.

I checked adjustment of the b-screw again and everything is ok. The chain is from the factory and it's not too slack or too tight in any gear combination. The chain is routed properly. Thanks for the input.

Have you disassembled the jockey wheels to check them?

NFI, but you said the sound was coming from that area, and you haven't checked it.

Maybe there's some crud caught in one, maybe there's a manufacturing defect, maybe you won't spot anything but the noise will be gone when you put it back together.

I work on all kinds of stuff aside from bikes, and the number of things I've fixed just by disassembly and reassembly would make your head spin.

I would check this first also... try turning it clockwise while turning the cranks, see if the noise is reduced...

Is the sound constant or intermittent? Could be a stiffish link.

First, thank you for giving a detailed description of the problem. A diagnosis has to start with good info. But it also needs to use that information to eliminate causes as well as pinpoint them.

A problem with the jockey wheels themselves, chain routing, the B tension, or a stiff link would not change with each progression toward the small-small. The fact that the noise lowers as you change to a "worse" angle logically means the jockey wheel assembly is pointed in that direction. That would mean either the hanger or the derailleur is twisted. Do not bother "eyeballing" it or taking a bunch of measurements, because one still needs a specialized tool to accurately straighten the hanger, and if that's not the problem one has to change out the derailleur.

Also necessary to know when the problem started, but did you not take it back to the seller?

Well I've disassembled, cleaned, lubed, and reassembled both pulleys but it didn't change anything. I don't have a hanger alignment tool on hand but I did have a spare hanger so I just replaced it to be safe and that didn't change anything either. Taking the bike back to the seller will be difficult as I unfortunately (in this case) bought it online. I made a quick video of the noise it's making if you want to see what I am talking about. https://youtu.be/Vt-fMp5gIN8

It's also worth pointing out that other than being noisy, nothing else seems to be wrong. It shifts beautifully and still feels smooth. It's just a lot louder than my mountain bike's 9 speed setup.
