I am trying to find replacement spokes for Shimano WH-R561 wheels. I contacted shimano and the only thing they have left are the left rear spokes. Does anyone know of a replacement option or where I could find the spoke kit P/N E-WHSPOKE1-JB1.

That's one of the problems with exotic factory wheels that use unique spokes. The manufacturer moves on to the latest "new and improved" version, and forgets to maintain a small stock of spokes for servicing the earlier version. This was a chronic prob;em with Campy wheels (and may still be for all I know).

You might have to settle for a workable analog, ie, right length and head, and reasonably matched gauge, disregarding profile and color.

You might try Sun and Ski Sports. My friend has a set and I hate working on them because the nipples are on the hub.

I have a pair of the WH-R560 wheels which I assume are very similar to yours. Unfortunately, the spokes appear unique. They are straight pull bladed types with the heads at the rim and the nipples at the hub. I'm not sure what the diameter or threading is because they require a specific nipple wrench, not one of the common sizes. Even the lacing is unusual; 16H radial in front and 20H, radial ds, 2X NDS for the rear.

Mine have been perfect for over 10,000 miles but I expect when something breaks, they get replaced, not repaired. As FB noted, such is the problem with "exotic" wheels.

I am aware this is a problem with exotic wheelsets but they came on the bike and have been relativly trouble free to this point.
