Non Removable Spider: Crankset

I have this crankset.

Product Description: Shimano M442 Mountain Cranksets. Removable Chainrings; Spider is not removable Square spindle hole
I need to replace the outside ring due to wear and have never replaced an outside ring before. However the description says "not removable spider", what does that mean? Also when i replaced the middle ring I ordered a steel ring because I believe all of these rings are steel, can anyone confirm this?

The spider is the part your chainrings bolt to. If you just want to replace the chainrings, then that's not a problem.

If you look at the tech docs, you can see the parts breakdown, it is a removable chainring https://techdocs.shimano.com/media/te...9830608883.pdf

They do or did make a crank with a removable spider. It could be set up as a 4 bolt or the 5 bolt Suntour standard.

So is it ok to order an aluminum ring to go with the other steel ones?
