I have a couple of bikes with 540 rims (old French 600A's) and they have 37-540 tires-I'd like to swap them to 25-540's (higher pressure, faster tires). Will these skinnier tires work with my present rims? (I did go from 37 to 28 of another bike with 500A's)

Chances are good that if the rims are old, they won't have hook beads, and you'll be limited in the amount of pressure you can run. Probably less than 80 psi.

They're 100 PSI max (Primo's). Just have to see, I guess (?) Bikes are from the 70's.

If the bike is that old, the max pressure will be limited by the rims, not the tires. Wear earplugs when inflating if you don't believe me!

Took your advice and went with 32-540 Kenda gumwalls. Pretty much what were on on the bikes originally- No BOOM is good.

Is there anything I can't get from Harris?
