Try www.oldroads.com - its a great site dealing with classic and vintage bicycles. Otherwise you could post it to me in South Africa! :-)

Charl,
Thanks. I posted an email to the website you sent. I would love to give the bike to you for free but I think the postage would kill us. Thanks! Doug

I'm not sure I'm understanding here. Do you want it restored or do you want to give it away to someone who will restore it for themselves?

Do you have any pictures?

How soon do you need to have this done? I'm in Chicago now, but I'll be up in New York in a little over a month. I love restoring old bikes.

You can donate it (with 10$) to an organization like 'Bikes For the World' https://www.bikesfortheworld.org/ and you can keep it out of the landfill, recycle, and help the needy in developing nations.

This group has spring-time collection events in many major metro areas. And a 10$ donation (to defray shipping costs overseas) is a lot cheaper than UPS or FedEx and boxing the sucker up.

I help with collections and publicity down here in NC, and I can tell you - It's a good thing knowing your bike will be put to good use by somebody who really needs it.

Search the web for a bike co-op near you.
Bike co-ops repair/restore bikes and are typically very active in local cycling education.
Enjoy
