5703 Crankset Question

Simple question:
Does the Shimano 5703 crankset use the 74mm bolt circle diameter for the inner chainring, or the non-standard BCD like the new 6703 Ultegra?

Thanks.

Yes, according to this document: techdocs.shimano.com/media/techdocs/content/cycle/SI/SI_1M30A/SI-1M30A-003-ENG_v1_m56577569830702207.pdf

Hint: Second hit on a Google search on "Shimano 5703 crankset pdf"

Interesting that they specify different chains for the doubles than for the triple.

Yes, and even the Shimano tech guy in Calif. couldn't explain why.

The truth is out there....

So, since I have 5703 crankset, I should get 5601 chain, not 5701?

Possibly it is but it would be nice if the maker would let us in on it.

A 5600 or 6600 chain will both work.
