5703 Crankset Question
Simple question:
Does the Shimano 5703 crankset use the 74mm bolt circle diameter for the inner chainring, or the non-standard BCD like the new 6703 Ultegra? Thanks. |
Yes, according to this document: techdocs.shimano.com/media/techdocs/content/cycle/SI/SI_1M30A/SI-1M30A-003-ENG_v1_m56577569830702207.pdf
Hint: Second hit on a Google search on "Shimano 5703 crankset pdf" |
Hint Shimano tech docs-

Interesting that they specify different chains for the doubles than for the triple.

Yes, and even the Shimano tech guy in Calif. couldn't explain why.
So, since I have 5703 crankset, I should get 5601 chain, not 5701? |

The truth is out there....
So, since I have 5703 crankset, I should get 5601 chain, not 5701? A 5600 or 6600 chain will both work. |
