CACycling, that bushing at amazon has a product description of "Converts 1'' quill stems to fit 1-1/8'' threaded forks. 90mm tall 1" to 1-1/8" each." If it said "Convert 1-1/8" quill stems to fit 1-1/4" threaded forks", then I'd be all over it. There's this one too. I wonder if there's a "Bushings R Us" kind of store that would have these kinds of adaptor sleeves in every possible size combination, just for generic mechanical/industrial purposes? Or can I just find at Home Despot or somewhere a few inches of aluminum (or steel?) pipe that is 1/16" thick, 1-1/8" ID and 1-1/4" OK, and hacksaw it to a decent length, and use a dremel cutting wheel to cut a slot down the side.

Steel "Round Tube" at 1-1/4 OD x .120 wall x 1.01 ID x 2ft is $15.66 from metalsdepot.com

Or in Aluminum: 1-1/4 OD x .065 wall x 1.120 ID x 2ft for only $5.54 -- but shipping is over $10. I should look for a local metal/pipe supply store. I bet they could cut and slot it on the spot for me

Looks like I'm going to be dropping in on http://www.industrialmetalsupply.com/ some time soon...
