Cannondale Snaypse 6 upgrade to 105 BR-5700 break issues
I recently purchased a Cannondale Synapse 6 With Tiagra components. I'm in the process of upgrading to the 105 group set.
Issue I'm having is that the 105 BR-5700 seem to be rubbing on the tire, Upon further research the breaks that came on the bike are Cannondale C4, dual pivot, long reach.
Does this mean that the Shimano breaks are incompatible with this frame? The LBS assured me that these breaks would fit and that I could bring it in for them to take a look. If its something simple that wold be great.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this particular upgrade?

First it's BRAKES. Breaks means fractured.
OK, now that the spelling lesson is over, your 5700 brakes are most likely "short reach" (37 - 47 mm from the mounting hole center to the mid-point of the rim's brake track) and the pads won't extend far enough to clear the tire. Shimano's web site doesn't show any 5700-series long reach brake calipers so you need a different model or make calipers. Tektro does make long reach (47-57 mm) brake calipers but what's wrong with the ones you have now?
