That's what we usually do at our shop when we get a noisy bb30 in. I think the noise is usually at the bottom bracket shell/bearing interface. We grease the heck out of the shell and re-install the bearings, and it almost always stops the noise....for the time being, at least.
FWIW, we've been much more impressed with the newer PressFit 30 bb's. We've had zero noise issues with them, and they seem to be quite durable. |

How much of that is because it's a one piece design? Supposedly BB machining isn't as critical on them as on a BB30.
I'm not sure which models, but even Cannondale has gone to PressFit 30 over bb30 on some of their bikes. |
Hi , I had a synapse with the same problem and did all kinds of research and even contacted loctite and came up with a loctite bearing mount compound 680 and 641 one was more permanent than the other but I was told knocking the bearing out when needed was not going to be a problem. I never did the job as my FD hanger screwed up and they warranted my frame and then I went to a EVO that has a press fit BB30 but I now also have a regular supersix with a BB30 but it's not making any noise , if it does someday I'll try grease then the bearing mount compound. Any compound left behind after knocking out the bearing can be removed with a solvent as the BB is aluminum. Press fit BB do not have aluminum inserts in their BB

use loctite 609 to mount the bearings

The other is a medium strength that can be removed at room temperature. |

609 looks like the go.
Loctite ® 609™ is a low viscosity, rapid-curing anaerobic adhesive that augments the strength of press fit assemblies or slip fit assemblies up to 0.005"in diameter. Adds up to 3,000 psi holding power. |
