Di2 Ultegra DIY - Need to put battery mount into frame. Anyone cut it down?

I am starting a project of putting Ultegra DI2 on my P4. I want to put pretty much everything in the frame. Curious if anyone cut down the battery mount. I will be using my own battery and just need the battery mount for the electronic signal. I would assume the actual electronics are very small.

I need to get it down to something close to 1" x .75".

Thanks for any help!

Is it the battery you are trying to hide?
How about making your own battery pack that slides down the seat tube and find a way to put a charge plug that shows someplace to charge it.

Doesn't Craig Calfee make a seat-tube drop in battery, scheme?

Yup - not sure if there are seatpost size limitations but it looks pretty cool and you don't have to take it out to charge it.

I will be using a non Shimano battery that does fit in the frame no problem. It is long and skinny. The issue is the Shimano battery mount. I need to make it smaller so that I can fit it in the bike frame. I wish I did not have to use at all but my understanding is that I need the electronics in so the proper signal is created. I would like to tear it down to only the electronics and fit it in the frame.
