cartridge bottom bracket tool
 

Hello, I am just wondering is there a way to install a cartridge bottom bracket without the tool? I know i should probably buy one to install it but to be honest I am impatient and don't feel like waiting for the order to come. So can anyone please answer me if there is a way to do this.

It depends if you can improvise something to drive and tighten the cups. So, yes, it's possible, but that doesn't mean it's easy or worth the effort.

Have any suggestions?

Keep in mind that you might need to replace it some day. They typically come out much harder than they went in, so don't booger up anything important.

I will, I'll probably just wait to get the tool because I can't think of anyway to tighten it otherwise.

Local shop should have one, if not they should be able to order you one reasonably quick

Ez , you take the bike to a bike shop , they have the tools,
so you don't have to own one.
They will put it together for you, then you just pay them for the service.

if you do buy one, get the one you can put a torque wrench on.

How tight? , then has a number value to refer to..

1/2" drive torque wrench would have the proper torque
within the scale,
3/8 you might be pegging the beam indicator
to the end of the scale.

Yeah, a lot of stuff has been ruined forever because somebody was in a hurry and refused to wait for the correct tools.

It's been my experience that if you need a tool and don't buy it, you generally wind up paying for it anyway and still don't have it.

If you're brave, you can use a pipe wrench or a bigasss set of Channelocks. I myself am not that brave.
