Park PCS-1 Work Stand Question
Wanted to work an a bike build but first have to work on the stand. I have an older Park PCS-1 work stand and haven't adjusted the tubing clamp diameter setting for several years. It's set to 1 1/8 but I need to change it to 1 1/4. During that time, I have used the stand to hold bikes shile washing them. I know.... Anyhow, I can't get the two black knobs to either turn or pull out and I can't remember for sure how to loosen them. I think the black knobs turned threaded bolts but don't want to force things and risk breaking something. I sprayed some penetrating oil in there to saok while doing this post. Do I turn those knobs counterclockwise to remove them so that I adjust the clamping diameter?

Yes, turn them lefty to loosen. You have to take it apart then and re-install in the appropriate threaded holes. You actually should wire-brush the threads after removal to get the gunk off. Then grease them, including all the other diameter threaded holes, for future ease of assembly. I've used a PCS-1 for at least a decade. It's rusty in places, but, works great. I'm not sure you can still get parts though...
