New wheel noises - Noob Question

Just took my new wheels for a ride today - I noticed when I first started there was some "pointing" of the spokes, and I noticed it happen a few times I was out of the saddle on some hills. I figure this is to be expected, but just how much? And should I take them in for truing/tensioning after a period of riding?

Velocity deep vee rims, 105 hubs, 36 spoke

hand built? machine built? if hand built care was not taken to unwind the spoke twist(bad spoke wrench technique). probably not stress relieved either. machine built? anything goes, the goal of speed trumps everything and the wheel build is a compromise. machine style lacing etc

david58, A well built wheel won't make any noise just because it's new. Now is a good time to stress relieve and retrue the wheel(s).

Thanks! I'll pull em off and take 'em in for the treatment. I don't know if they are hand-built or machine made, but the price would imply machine made ($215). Either way, now that I know, I'll get them in to the shop.
