Help adjusting Shimano M416 mechanical disc brake/rotor

Hi, Not had a bike for some 35 Years and out of touch with modern bikes [Im 47 now]
I Have just bought a Trek FX 7.3 2012 with disc brakes,
The Disks are Shimano M416 mechanical disc brakes
My first question is :-

1. Is it normal that when I Apply the brakes that one pad pushes the rotor/disc over to the right [About 1/8th of an inch or so] To then contact the other pad which doesnt move ? Not much but thought that this could warp/damage the rotor

2. The rear wheel is slightly on the pad and so the wheel is not moving freely when I Spin it, I Have tried to find out about any way to adjust and set up correct disc brake adjustment but very confused.

Any help would be great as to correct way to set up the discs, Thanks very much, Ian

Here's a link to the tech docs: https://techdocs.shimano.com/media/te...9830696761.pdf

Hint: It was the first hit on a search for "Shimano M416 pdf"
