would i be able to fit an 8 inch disk on my new forks in replace of the 6 inch ones

just a thought i bought a new flow f1.0 in early 2005. It has a 6 inch mechanical disk in the front. I am looking for an 8 inch hydralic replacement pacage and i am wondering if it will fit on the front suspension which it the marazzochi dirt jam comps. An help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm a little cautious about giving advise on stuff that I haven't done personally, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work for a front fork provided you get the proper adapter for the caliper. Most times it won't work on the rear unless the frame has been designed for an 8" disc because the disc would hit the chain stay.

You didn't ask but, you haven't filed the lawyer lips off of your fork have you? If you get a big hand full of brake with an 8" front disc, the axle tries to rotate around the caliper and has been known to eject the front wheel.

Why would you file off the lawyer tabs anyway?

Lol i can imagine this high tech bike with a control panel and a lever that says
"EJECT WHEEL"

Use the caliper adapter and it will work fine.
