Where to find a 1" threaded fork w/ 295mm steerer?

A friend of mine brought a bike into our shop that got hit by a car. The frame is monstrously large and needs a (threaded!) fork w/ nearly 300mm of steerer. None of our catalogs have this, and I don't even see any on ebay. Going threadless is not worth the cost, nor is anything custom (well, we did throw around the idea of welding an extension on an old fork tall-bike style but it won't be easy to get the tolerances right for the headset...).
The fork needs to be threaded, preferably for 27" but as we have to replace the wheel anyway we could go to 700C. Any leads?

If you can find a fork long enough, I can put 1" of thread on it at a very reasonable price. Just make sure it's a 1" steel steerer with a 7/8" ID (1/16" wall).
