LOOK KG486 Headset
 

Can anyone tell me what type of headset to purchase for a LOOK KG486 frame and fork. I purchased a frame and fork now I can't find the proper headset. The one from my cannondale caad8 will not fit the OD is larger on the dale.

What year is the frame to start with??? do you have a caliper to measure the diameters of the cups?? The 486 frames i have seen had fsa headsets... you need to add more details dude. Like if every body knew all the bikes around... jezzz....

The answer to the question is that there are two split rings that go into the head tube before the bearings. the split rings marry with the bevels on the bearings. I got in touch with excel sports in Colorado and they have dealt with these headset before so they were able to give me a solid answer. As well as, a set of split rings out of their spare parts box. Great guys!! I didn't need a caliper or the year of the bike to get the answer.......Jezzz. But now I have another issue. It is a 2006 KG486 frame. I need the front derailleur hanger for it. Any ideas on the new issue will be helpful.
