Megaexo & hollowtech bottom bracket interchangeability?
I've heard that said bottom brackets (FSA's megaexo & Shimano's hollowtech) are fully interchangeable with Shimano's cranks and only to a certain extent with FSA's? Is this true?
I would like some confirmation before I mate a DA 7800 crankset with FSA's 8010 megaexo BB from my parts bin.

Not sure about Megaexo (sorry) but I know that a Shimano crank won't fit in a Truvativ/Bontrager GXP bottom bracket. I tried..

There are at least two different MegaExo bottom bracket widths (I've had them side-by side after some one sold me a second hand SLK-Light crank with the SLK bottom bracket):
Those made for the "Light" (SLK-Light, K-Force light) hollow arm carbon cranks have thinner bearing cups to accommodate the larger arms.
Those made for non-Light (SLK, K-Force) solid arm carbon cranks have wider bearings to mate with the longer axle.
Obviously if one works the other is going to be too short or long.
FSA sells at least two other types of MegaExo bottom brackets which pair with alloy cranks and I wouldn't be surprised to see similar differences (maybe due to arm size, maybe due to the angle sort of like how low profile Record/Chorus square taper cranks took a narrow 102mm axle while the others took a 111 or 115mm axle).
