for an English shell, if that makes a difference

Thanks

Actually, after doing a search on the model number (FC-7402), it seems as though they could even be late 80s.

Any ideas on the year for that model number?

7402 goes back to 7 speed days I think...Sheldon brown at www.harriacyclery has a listing of cranks and BB.I have one one a bike and may have time later to pull it off and measure. it. The latest version,7410 used a 103 spindle.

The english threaded BB for my 7400 cranks is 68x112mm. I'm pretty sure it's the same for 7401 and 7402.

I think 7402 is "8-speed" first introduced in 1989.
