switch from trigger to twist shifters?
Hi;
I am thinking about swapping the trigger shifters from my 8 yr old's 24" wheeled bike for twist shifters.
She doesn't really have the hand strength or even reach to work the trigger shifters. Is there any reason that shouldn't work? It is a 3x7 or 8 speed bike. Shimano derailers I believe.
Thanks.

Is there a question here?
This swap out should be pretty straight foreword. Make sure the grip shifters are of the right family of cable pull compatibility (Shimano or SRAM). The grips often don't come with the twist shifters, the old could be cut down. Sometimes the brake levers are integral with the shift pods, if so make sure the replacements are the proper caliper compatibility (canti or linear pull). Andy.
