Bent frame. Worth replacing fork?
 

If a new fork were added to this steel-tubing frame, would it still be too dangerous to ride?

And exactly how would adding a new fork fix the crimped and bent top and down tubes? That, my friend is a piece of scrap metal.

Wow - are you serious? Adding a fork does not make it any safer, so why ask if it would still be too dangerous? I would not consider riding that frame. Aside from the safety the handling would be compromised due to reduced head angle, and because of the type of bend in the lower tube it's likely the head tube and seat tube are no longer in line as you look from front to back.

Yes the frame is toast. More than that it's burnt toast, and destined for the recycle bin.

But, a question. The frame is bent the wrong way, ie. as if the fork were pulled forward, and not in the classic where the fork is pushed back by a front end collision.

So, how did this happen, driving into something with the bike on a roof rack? or some kind of crash from a vertical drop? Also, how did the rider make out?
