3T Funda fork dropouts
 

Here's a picture of my fork dropout. It has a ridge at the bottom right.

This means I have to unscrew the acorn nut on the QR to get it over the ridge. I mount the fork into the car carrier, and then the wheel into the dropout every time I go riding. I'm thinking of filing it down so I can just open the QR and pull the wheel right off without loosening the nut. Is this a good idea? I would also need to touch up the white paint.

Those are there to keep the wheel from falling out if you don't get the QR tightened properly. If they were AL dropouts I'd say file them down. Looks like you have CF dropouts so I leave them be.

Yes, it's a full carbon fork. I can't believe that Cervelo doesn't trust me to tighten my own QR skewers!:(

They are called lawyer tabs for a reason. If you don't like them, file them off. My Herons don't have them and I haven't forgot to close my QR yet.

Reminds me of my 80's Schwinn with levers attached to the hub. I cut them off to make it easier to remove my wheel.

Are you saying you have to loosen the nut a bit more than you want to, to get it to get it in place? It's a common practice since the invent of (lawyer lips.) You have a couple options- file them off and completely relieve the manufacturer of an liability or warranty responsibility, or leave them as is and deal with a couple extra turns of the nut.
