front DR c clip

The c clip that holds the "pivot shaft" on the front DR is no longer on my FD and the shaft works it's way out of the FD. I had another DR and like a dummy took the c clip off of it, but upon trying to secure it on the end of the pivot it broke in two pieces. Now I have two FD w/o a c clip on the pivot. Does anyone know where I can get these tiny c clips? It is chorus 11 Front derailleur. Also if there is a place to get a replacement clip how to get it on w/o braking them? i called lbs and they had no idea where to get such a part.

When I was wrenching on cars we called them "S*** clips" because of what you would say when they went off into orbit. You can get them at your local auto parts store as replacement parts for carburetors (remember them?) and other linkages.
