What are Suntour Power Rings?

I'm looking at these for an old mountain bike commuter.

Are the power rings Suntour's version of Shimano's Biopace? I did a fast search but didn't find much of anything.

SunTour's version of BioPace was called "OvalTech". "PowerRings" are simply round chainrings.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Yes, they're round chainrings (I have them on my commuter). "Power ring" is just marketing because who wants plain old generic chainrings.
