sadel rails mounting

Hello,

I hope someone can help me. I've got a carbon seat post that ends with a round mounting hole for the seat clamps. The clamps that came with the post is crappy (cannot mount saddle without quirky sound. Am using carbon paste) but I cannot find a replacement. I don't know the brand of the post as it was bought used. Can anyone help?

A pic bigger than a postage stamp might help.

The red line that shows up when you type sadel means you misspelled it. A right-click will show you options for the correct spelling.

For the brand try a Google image search for carbon seat post , could also try adding black white as an option

Looks like the seatposts used on some Treks, including Madones. Two plates, one each side, clamp the saddle rails from the sides with a single bolt. There is a conical insert in each side of the circular part with channels in which the seat rails rest. These rotate to establish the tilt of the saddle. The torque spec on the Trek saddle clamp here is 16 Nm max. It takes a fair bit of torque to prevent slipping.

now you tried something that does not work, for you.. Used , Might be missing parts , IDK.

so next seat post you choose, same diameter is all you need to match, basically.

get one with a different method of mounting, and return that one to the seller.

If it were from a Bike shop they will Help You , Bought online, instead?,
IDK what their return policy is..

good luck.

spell check :> it's saddle
