160/165mm crank arm with 130BCD

Do these spec crank arms exist?? I've searched long and hard for about 2 weeks and nothing really has come up.

Main reason I'm asking is that my friend gifted me his old road bike (Trek, unsure of specific model) and he is about 6'3 and I am 5'7, so when the pedals are at the very bottom, my toes are fully pointed.

I can adjust/find parts for just about everything to adapt it for my size (saddle, stem, layout bars, etc) but the crank arms seem to be the most difficult to find.

It currently has 172.5 arm length with 130 BCD, the stock ones that came with the bike. Which is why I think a shorter crank arm would allow me to keep riding!

Any suggestions/ideas?

Cheers,
Gordhan

For the cost you will pay in swapping parts you could just find a used bike that was the right size. If it requires more than seat and handlbar/stem adjustments you are on a bike that is too large for you.

Sounds like you need to lower the seat?

French TA is one company that has made a wide range of crank arm lengths available..
more top of the range , options.. in other brands ..

the circles get smaller, for those with short legs, or fixies on banked velodrome tracks.
so pedal won't hit uphill side , and you spin the little arms fast with your legs..

Sugino RD2 comes in 165. Not sure about 160.

Will work with double rings, don't know about triple if that's what you need.

Cheers for the responses, I'll look into some of those suggestions.

I have double rings. How would the RD2 work with double rings???

They seem to be available:

But I share Johnny Alien's concern: does that bike actually fit you? What size is the frame?

Lower the saddle.

If it's already bottomed out, you should get a bike that actually fits you. Seriously.

+1. I don't think shorter cranks will solve your problem.

I've experimented with cranks under 150mm; I'm a shorty at 5'4 and find that on some bikes, makes for easier spinning, but also less leverage against hills/wind/etc.

I had Mark Stonich at https://www.bikesmithdesign.com/ shorten an Ultegra and a 105 crankset for me. His price is really reasonable and his work is top notch. Highly recommended. Warning: Not all crankarms can be shortened - depends on the tongue design, see the website.
