I dont mean to be a pain, but can you watch the grammar a bit? Its distracting and makes it difficult to read your content. I believe people say that the C versions are stronger, but really I've never heard or seen a crankbrothers product broken. I've been using mine with the greatest luck! The only thing is that the SL versions are going to be more resistant to the elements.

I believe the SL is a better/stronger pedal than the C. Itís also a more expensive one.
I think the C has the same spindle as the earlier S (now SL), but the rest of the pedal
has a simplified design with itís pressed steel instead of forged etc.
Both pedals use the same rep. kit, meaning the bearings and that design should be the same.

Take a look here at post #39
Won't tell you how that happened, but I won't blame CrankBrothers

Hey, you know what, I had the same thing happen to me. I didnt notice until about a month or two ago. Six months after the replacements showed up.
Are they stronger? I don't know, they have a welds, the stainless are forged, I guess you have to ask a metalurgist. Having said that, mine haent broken yet, even after repeated rock hits on trail.

Yield strength for cromo will be approximately 45,000 psi, while that of stainless will be 30,000-35,000 psi. For our applications, that's not really going to come into play. If there are differences in fabrication as described by Lectron, that also factors into the equation.
