2010 Rockhopper Comp single speed conversion questions

I want to convert my 2010 Rockhopper to a SS for this winters commuting. My plan is go buy the SS kit from Performance bike for the freewheel part since it has spacers, lock ring, 3 cogs (going to run a 20t in the back), and a tensioner. Then buy a Surly 32t ring for the front to mount to my Shimano Alivio crank set. It looks like I will need single speed chainring bolts to mount a single 32t ring to the 104 BCD crank set from what I have read. What size are these bolts? I dont know what size to order or if I even need different bolts for certain. Am I overlooking anything else here? Thanks!!!
