Old Shimano 3 speed hub

I just went to the trouble to build a wheel with an older shimano 3 speed hub in it. Now I'm having some major hub problems. I took it all apart, and can't get it together the same way. Does anyone know of any repair guides or diagrams for these things? A tiny little part fell out, and I think I might have killed the damn thing. Any help would be great.

Manual: Sutherlands. I use an older edition--I don't know if a newer one would have this info or not.

What are your major hub problems? Give us more to go on.

Also, what part fell out? Was it one of those eeny weeny springs? Or perhaps a planet pin?

If you know what you've lost, you could always get another of the same hub for dirt cheap, and have spare parts for a lifetime.

You might even find a place that has parts. We still have a box full of Shimano three stuff. Try an older shop, they should have some manuals, either Shimano or Sutherlands to help you out
