Trouble with computer / powermeter
New to the forum
Have been out of cycling for several years cause of several different issues, but very shortly prior to stopping, I got a cycleops power meter installed on my bike @ a shop that I dont have easy access to anymore. Anyway , I never really understood how to use it, but I could get it to turn on at least. Well its been several years and am able to slowly get back on the bike again but cant get the thing to even turn on. I replaced the battery in the head unit and the pick up gizzy on the chain stay. Still wont come on. Its a wireless unit , on the back of the head it says model CPU+..
Any one out there able to help me out??
Thanks
K

Sorry, this is a mechanic's forum, and you need an electrician.
I'm not that familiar with Power Tap, but the primary input is from the wheel, and it's entirely possible that the head won't activate unless the wheel is turning.
Hopefully a Power Tap user or dealer will chime in with meaningful advice.

Do you have powertap hubs too?
I don't have that particular head unit - I use my garmin for a head unit. It is HIGHLY likely that your wheel battery is dead too (I imagine even the wired models have a battery) so replace that too.
And - email saris. They were extremely responsive when I had a weird issue with my power tap wheels back in April or so.
