Changing Cranksets

I have an 8 speed Jamis Aurora and would like to change the stock Cyclone Triple crank with another triple crank. The question is that the stock crank takes a 113 wide bottom bracket; the crank I would like to replace it with takes a 118 wide bottom bracket. By changing this would I mess up the chain line or have any other problems??

If you use the specified BB,you don't mess up the chainline. Chainline gets hosed if you don't use the correct spindle length.
