bicycle assembly book

I am about to assemble a bike from a bare frame. The frame doesn't even have a bottom bracket or headset installed. So it really is a new thing for me. I have purchased most all of my parts and will start assembly soon. I have heard of a highly regarded book about properly assembling a bike, but I can't find the name of the book. Do any of you know the name of the book. I don't think it is by Sheldon Brown.

Make sure that the head tube and bottom bracket shell are properly faced and reamed so that the headset and bottom bracket installations will go smoothly. The tools for these tasks are uneconomical to purchase for infrequent use so these tasks are best done by a local shop. You might consider farming out the headset installation and possibly the bottom bracket installation as well, for the same reason.

I agree the headset and bottom bracket would not be economical for me to do. I will farm those out to a shop. I am considering letting a shop complete the entire build. Any idea what a complete build may cost? My only concern is the local shop mechanic may not care about my bike as much as I do. I'm very mechanically inclined and would do a very good job, but I know a good mechanic could out do me.

I particularly like Leonard Zinn's "Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance". He has another one similarly titled for mountain bikes.

BTW, sealed bottom brackets are pretty simple to install, although they do need a unique tool. Park Tools has them for the various types for about $20 each. You'll also need to know what length BB is required for your crankset, but Sheldon's site has a good table for that.
