Swapping a Bontrager Race Lite crankset for an Ultegra 6700

Can anyone tell me if the bottom bracket supplied with my 2007 Trek Equinox E9 would be compatible with an Ultegra 6700 crankset?

I'm looking at upgrading for the compact cranks and shorter crankarms.

.. for best results replace everything , BB included , with and specified to go with the crankset you buy.

Shimano's outboard bearing bottom brackets, BB5700, BB-6700, etc., are so reasonably priced it really is not worth trying to make a non-matching bb work.
