eyelet lubrication

What do you folks use to lubricate the eyelets of your rims when building? I use Pedros ice wax, put a dab sometimes on the actual "neck" of the nipple. Im just curious of other techniques.

I generally use regular white grease. I have a spoke with one end bent into a loop-shaped handle. I dip this into the tub of grease, then poke it into each spoke hole of the rim in turn (except that I don't lubricate the left side holes or spokes of derailer-type rear wheels.)

Its good to see you postig around here. I have not tried grease myself. I went the tri flow route once ad it did work except that it
A. smells
ad B. gets dirty, i have to clean it off

The kids that come into the bike co-op call tri-flow "banana oil" because of the smell.
Enjoy

It does have a distinct smell to it, I thought it smelled like bubble gum the first time i used the stuff

I have a can of MoS2 that smells a bit sweet, in a nasty kind of way...

Plain white grease on a Q-tip. Poke at the eyelet from the outside of the rim.
