Dollar Bill Boot Success

It really worked - and this was a pretty big gash. Fortunately only a few miles from home.

Yes, it works quite well and has gotten many a rider home.

The other way dollar bills or larger denominations can save you is by keeping at least $20.00 on or in the bike at all times. Leaving emergency cash on the bike can come in real handy of you leave home in a rush without taking keys or wallet.

I keep $20.00 folded up in my spare tube, so the few times I used a currency boot it was with a twenty.

Yeah. You don't want to go cheap where safety is concerned.

Some time back I needed to replace one of my commuter tires, and Lo and Behold! out fell a $20.00 bill. It was like a lagniape, and I took Deb out for pizza. Had I booted with a single, I wouldn't have even been able to buy a beer (except in Mexico).

I might consider booting with Fifty next time.
