Any reason to worry?

Bought this off eBay about two months ago. It seems like the more I clean it/tool with it the more I find wrong with it. Most things are cosmetic, but I have a feeling the seller left out some important information.

Is it soft in those spots, yes worry. If not, not so much.

Looks like minor cosmetic damage, ie.dings and chips. If there's not anything else I wouldn't worry.

OTOH, the bottle cage's upper bolt doesn't look right, though it might simply be the photo.

Are you sure those aren't dings you created somehow?

Bikes are meant to be ridden, not waxed and admired. I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.

Positive. They were mentioned in the listing, but after cleaning the bike (it rained during the ride) it was bigger than stated, as if he tried to cover it with permanent marker or something.

Well, that's not cool.

This is why I stay away from secondhand bikes (for the most part).

what's the frame material? carbon?

I have a feeling the buyer left out some important questions prior to bidding/purchasing.

as kidd69 said
if the frame tube is soft
or makes a crackling sound
when you push on those blemishes
then it is bad

otherwise
those marks
are so small
and so insignificant
it makes me laugh that you would be worried or upset

go out and ride it now

Very possible that he used a black marker to cover the size of the dings. I'll tap with a coin around the dings, just to make sure they are not cracks. I always start from the premise that most things listed by individuals on eBay contain some lies. That way I am not overly surprised by stunts like this. And there are just certain things I won't buy on eBay. Used carbon frames, for instance.
