Specialized '05 Slim Shim Lever Spacer

I have a road bike with 105 STI shifters & brakes. My hands are a bit too small, I'm interested in these. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I'm familiar with the shims, just no experiences with them. It seems like they would work, and for $10.00, its alot cheaper than replacing existing levers with short-reach levers. I have the same problem with small hands. I can't shift from 2 to 3 in front on regular STI shifters. My specialized Vita, came with short reach brake levers.

You can make em yourself with something that works as a shim and some double sticky tape.

They work pretty good but they don't fit in all of the STI shifters. Moving the shifter up and down the bar can change the effective reach.

Will this decrease the lever throw?
