Need the spacers with BB386 EVO crank?

I am getting ready to install a new FSA K-Force Light BB386EVO crank on my Giant TCR Advanced frame with BSA 68mm BB. I will also be installing the matching BB cups that screw into the frame. The crank came with three thin metal spacers (in addition to the wave washer). I can't find installation instructions anywhere, especially not in the box or on the FSA site. Do I need to use the spacers? Under what conditions? How many? On both sides? Are they for chain line or other purpose? I haven't ever used spacers before on my standard BSA cranks with BSA BB. Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions.

Yes you do. Use the spacers if the wavy washer is not compressed enough. However, make sure the wavy washer isn't completely flat when you tighten the crank bolt.
