Bike assembly-what are these parts?

2 Attachment(s)
Bought a nashbar steel touring bike. The bike was pretty much assembled already. But I cannot figure where to put these parts (shown in pictures). Or they are just spares.

Thanks a lot!

Pieces for a front cantilever set up.

left picture is a stem spacer that allows your brake cable to go straight down. right picture is the cable pivot thing for cantilever brake.

The first pic is a steerer mounted brake cable holder.
The Second pic shows a Brake straddle cable, Straddle cabe holder, Crimp on cable end, 2 Brake lever shims(optional), 1 peice of bar tape for the brake lever, 2 decals, 2 Allen wrenches, 3 stem (or brake) bolts (maybe), 2 Plastic screws?, and 1 Hex bolt?

I would suggest letting a professional mechanic setup your brakes correctly for you to make sure that the bike is safe to ride. If you don't even know what the parts are then I'm not sure that you're sufficiently capable of doing this job.

Yeah - maybe it would be for the best if you posted some pix of the relevant parts of your new bike in the stage of assembly it's at now.

It's not exactly rocket science, but with something as safety-critical as (esp. front) brakes - it would be best to make absolutely sure they're installed and functioning properly. :)
