Foreign manufacture means +1 month response time to overly popular models. |
that Trip to Vegas/ Anaheim is expensive, [ though may be a tax deduction for the business owner.]
so big shops, like Bike Gallery in PDX is better able to afford it. |

I had an Avid Rohloff 4 bolt disc, from a procrastinated HS33 rim to disc conversion.... Awesome!! The Mag HS33 made it into the thread!! Several ppl on this thread recommended Deore hydros, which won't work with the drop bars. Others recommended road hydro set ups that would increase the bottom line by between 33% and 75%. Very few ppl just said "bb7" or "bb5". OP: you asked for other options, but I imagine you weren't including nonviable ones? As for me, I'm voting base model, with rim brakes. Especially if "coin" is a concern at the moment. Why spend more for discs on a bike like that? |
