What workstand is this?
I saw a workstand for sale that looks like it might be a good deal:

What is this stand? The best I can figure from googling pictures on the web is that it's a Park Tools PRS-6. It looks like it's had a rough life; it's rusty, it's missing the clamp pads, the top lever that secures the clamp looks like it's had a new one welded together. But it also looks like it's a shop-quality stand for a very cheap price. I'm not averse to cleaning up an old stand if it will function well.
I haven't contacted the seller yet, but I was wondering what people's opinions are on this stand? Most of my bikes are either aluminum or steel frames with aluminum seatposts, but I also have a carbon road bike (Specialized Roubaix) with a carbon seatpost. Will this stand be suitable for the Roubaix? I figure that clamp won't work on the top tube of the Roubaix, so I'd need to clamp on the seatpost. And does anyone know if new clam pads would be available somewhere? I found a place selling pads for a PRS-6, but I'm not sure that this stand really is a PRS-6 or not.
Thanks for any advice you can give me on whether this workstand will be useful to me or not.

This is very low tech, but works great. Actually I'm so happy with it that I stopped looking for a bike stand.
It's more a maintenance stand than repair one, but I had no problems removing BB on it.
Of course if you are a bicycle mechanic - it's a pretty lame idea

Bought is few years back to hang my bikes at my other house. I think I paid just a few bucks for it on sale.
Lowes and Home Depot have them at organizing section. Mine hangs of the shelve, so I can go around it with ease.
Here another idea of portable bicycle repair stand

Ken- The first couple of years we used chains hanging from the ceiling with hooks for the seat and bars. At home it was ropes with large loops.
At Full Moon Vista we can get a variety of brands with a special order. Like most shops our first choices are from Park. I will say that getting a really solid repair stand is worth it. It's a tool that will out live most of your bikes. Every time you lift the bike to clamp it you'll be very glad you got the better one. Andy (watching Judy Collins on WXXI, also in Rochester, NY).
