Bubbling/flaked paint on Colnago Dream Mapei edt frame
Hi, I have a Colnago Dream Mapei Team edition road bike that I was looking to sell but I was just wondering if anyone had any information on how much this oxidation affects the framework in relation to, is it just cosmetic or will it affect performance? This part of the frame is the only part affected and it seems a shame to write off such a beautiful bike on this alone if it is fixable or purely cosmetic. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Please specify whether this is steel, aluminum, or carbon. I am assuming aluminum with carbon stays as I see that online. The frame is likely still sound, but the problem needs to be arrested or it will progress. At the very least the paint will be further damaged. Any warranty? Corrosion of aluminum under paint that was not damaged prior should be covered by warranty. Will Colnago do a repaint, perhaps at a contract shop in the UK? See a Colnago dealer for guidance. I have had this problem on a Trek 2000 alloy frame in the past. Trek replaced the frame.
