can somebody tell my how to take a part this old campagnolo bracket I already bought this pin spanner tools SPA2Red and SPA 1 the green one and no chance is not moving nothing the bracket been on the bike probably 25 years,also already used W40

Hopefully this wrench would work? They provide the dimensions of the pins.

Looks to be a classic Campy NR BB, but with the cups in the opposite sides (as it's an Ital. thread both sides are RH threaded). If the adjustable cup won/t spin out using the SP-green pin tool then remove the "fixed" side with a proper 36mm boxed end spanner that's held on the cup with washers and the crank arm bolt (to prevent slipping). then once the fixed cup is off you can use a Sheldon Brown method to remove the adjustable cup. I already have this tools but the side with the small holes is not possible to open

of course if i wanted to to reuse the BB and thought i might reuse the them, i would buy the no doubt expensive tools and do it the right way.

otherwise i'd knock off that adjustable side with a hammer and an punch or if i didn't have a punch or hammer i'd knock it off with a large rock and and old phillips head screwdriver if i had to. and then put the drive side in a vice, frame and all and turn the frame out of the cup. or if i had a very large adjustable wrench i might try that. or i might put together one of those Sheldon Brown DIY fixed cup removers that is displayed on his sight. which work BTW.

you need a lock ring hook spanner . to remove the lockring and let the adjustable cup move , to take it out

Buy the tools or have the LBS do the work..

If its bearing race tracks are OK I'd leave the fixed cup in place, clean, grease, and rebuild it . ..

Problem is here he's already stated he can't get the adjustable cup off first to get to this step.

OP, you may need a vise to clamp the fixed cup and remove it first

use the right tool mine herren ..


VAR has a 6 pin tool that will engage all 6 of the adjustable cup's pin holes ..


Ludwigshafen on the Rhine certainly has a bike shop or 2 ..

Get some CRC Freeze Off and spray it on the cup to shrink it enough to get it loose.

Get some "real" penetrating oil. It's far superior to WD-40.

Something like this may best be done by a professional if you have the proper tools but are still having trouble or you risk buggering things up.

If you decide to keep on trying yourself, some good penetrating oil (WD-40 is not so good...) and give it another go.

yes I think will need to wait this **** is hard like a rock and I don´t care about the frame or if something go wrong thats the wait I learn, I do almost everything myself.For remove do I need to do it counterclockwise?
