None shedding chain lube?

I store my bike inside and I need a chain lube that does not shed. The lube I'm using now works well at lubing the chain, but is making an awful mess. Any suggestions.
Thanks

For road I'm using Finish Line Teflon Plus. I apply it about every 350 miles which is probably way over kill. I clean the chain at about every other lube. Never had anything make the drive train so quiet. I measure for stretch and there's no sign of it on my new road bike in 1800 miles.

For my ATB I use White Lightning. I apply it every 100 miles and clean the chain every 4 or 5 applications.

I wipe the chain to remove the excess after about 4 or 5 hours drying time for both lubes. I also wipe down the jocky wheels and the rings/cogs that were used when the cahin was lubed. Cuts down on dirt attraction.

Both lubes dry solid so there is no drip.

I'm not really worried about the drip, well that would not be good either. I'm using pedros ice wax now and it flakes off like it's designed to do. Unfortunately those flake are getting all over the rug and are pain to clean up.

Can't you just throw a towel/sheet/rag/carpet scrap under the drivetrain side of the bike and store it on that?

If you like the lube you're using . . . I'd find a solution that *doesn't* have you changing lubes....

Just my $0.02

yea when you said it was shedding i had a suspicion you were talking about ice wax, that stuff is crap for almost all conditions. For road its alright, but even then i would stick with Tri flow, that stuff sticks on so well its hard to remove when you clean!

Use a wax based lube like White Lightning. And, like any lube, don't overlubricate.

Everybody pretty much goes from not lubeing their chain at all to way overdoing it. I've worked on some bikes that had chains that were so grotty that I didn't even want to touch the chain wity my pliers. Yuck! The lube that is getting thrown off of the chain wasn't in a place where it was doing any good anyway. All that it's doing is attracting crud and imprinting those attractive tattoos on your calf.

Get your chain as clean as you can, then put the tiniest drop that you can manage on each link. That's still too much. Let it sit overnight so that the oil can migrate into the inner workings of the chain where it matters, then do your best to wipe off whatever's left on the outside of the chain with a clean rag.
