a couple questions on parts unknown...

any one know what this is? it was placed in a baggie with all the rest of the headset stuff. never seen this before.




ok, here's the headset parts from left to right that's how i think it should be placed. but what's with this black ring underneath the silver shim? it's a wavy type of aluminium washer. where does it go in this picture here?

It a bearing preload washer similar to ones on BB30/press-fit cranks. Typically the washers go in before the cranks. I don't know about those on a headset. It's a first for me.

Yes, there is a left (NDS) and a right (DS) cup for PF30 BBs.

The bearing cover (left most ring) goes in first, then the wave washer.

Looks like an in-line barrel adjuster for derailleur cables.

damn ur good!!....

now why couldn't they put the parts in the same bag as the correct parts? they have 3 bags and all the parts are mixed all over..

Headset mounted Brake hanger noodle. Needs the part that it threads into, but that's the part that takes the bend.
