So you guys familiar with these kind of things? I don't see how or where a battery goes.

Is there a place for a wire to come in or attach? Looks like it's intended to be used with a generator - either hub or bottle type.

Yeah im thinking this isn't for a battery set up. There is an on off switch up top that is in good shape. I wonder if it's worth the time to convert it?

2 bulbs , the switch probably used to choose 1 or the other .

You doing a C&V restoration ? why do you want to use it?

lots of cheap enough LED battery Lights . made in Asia, that are sold, now..

I could make up a 4 AA cell battery holder and wire it in , visit Radio Shack . and DIY. thats 6v with 4 1.5v cells 4.8v with rechargeable batteries .

I had one of those as a kid, it hooked up to my bottle dynamo.

I just finished sanding and painting it satin black to match the bike.

Had one of those on a huffy bicycle back in the 80's. The switch is for Hi beam or Low beam. Though generator lights of that era were only useful to be seen, and not really to see yourself.

With an external 6v battery, you could convert it, but I would look into replacing the bulbs with leds as it would be much brighter and last longer.

As I was taping off I opened it up to check out the setup. I noticed two bulbs and as you guys said it's more a generator setup vs battery. I'm going to take it to the local electronics guy to see about a battery conversion.
