another 27 inch wheel question
I don't follow too close unless I have a problem and hope this is not redundant.
I have a Weinmann 219 27x1 1/4 rim that seems wide for the Panaracer 1 1/8 tire that fits my frame (go figure, huh?) The LBS gave me a good deal on the wheel built w this rim.
So, I'm looking for a narrower profile 27" rim. I did buy a Sunrims CR18 and haven't laced it up yet (this sounds like the right lingo but I don't know what I'm talking about really) It doesn't look a LOT different from the 219. It is not as narrow as the original rim on this bike.
Any of you have experience w this size tire and the CR18?
Are there better narrow rims available. I gotta buy a new one anyway because I find the CR18 in bad shape now that I'm getting ready to build it. Looks like another $35 anyway.
Thanks

Sun makes the M13 II in 27". It is a narrower rim perfect for your 1 1/8 tire. It's supposed to just be an OEM rim but bikepartsusa usually has them: https://bikepartsusa.com/product_info.phtml?p=01-124216

Looks like that M13 may be the ticket. Thanks much.
