S&S Couplings?

Anyone had their bike retrofitted? Who did you use to do the work?
Thanks!

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=388017Bilenky Cycle Works has, perhaps, the most experience in retrofitting S&S couplers in North America. I've seen some of their jobs and the work is clean and frames are still straight.

I prefered to install mine into the tubes before building the frame, but many builders will build the frame first then "retro fit" before paint. Here's a shot of my results. Andy.

Had my Trek 520 outfitted with them last year. I sent mine to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada- Arvon Bicycles. Did a great job. I see you're in NE Ohio. I grew up in Tallmadge : ) If I lived where you do, I'd send to Bilenky Bikes. Excellent reputation. I'm bummed out that they can't be added to an aluminum bike as I have a Cannondale Tandem, I would love to have them added to.

I had a Co-Motion single road bike factory fitted with S&S couplers but, as Andy noted, they installed the couplers into the tubes before welding the frame together. I've never used Bilenky but have heard a lot of very good things about their work too.

The S&S web site has a list of both OEM manufactures and retrofit builders so there are numerous possibilities.
