Hi all,

wondering if anybody can help me.

I seem to have lost the black and white plastic parts in the picture bellow.

The actual part is the bit which holds the brake cable in the tiagra sti levers

any help would be welcome

You described it , problem is Shimano won't help with a 2c piece.

if you lost any of it , you buy a whole new Lever ..

Shimano Has fully automated manufacturing .. jobs are filling parts hoppers on the machines..

I am hoping a local bike shop will have a spare part

Then you need to go to a LBS and see if they have any of those in the parts bin. or a coop you probably don't need a perfect match.

I required a part that looked very similar to that for a quick release on an older Dia Compe N500 side pull brake. I found 2 after digging through a bin at the coop.

If your LBS or a bike co-op doesn't have one, PM me. I have a couple of complete assemblies as spares that you can have at no cost.

There are a few differing types of this cable end carrier. Hope you get the right one. Andy.

'bushing' or 'plain bearing'

looks jury riggable, similar bushings fall out of broken cheap v-brake levers

The ones I have were salvaged from a set of discarded 105 8-speed brifters and I'm pretty sure Shimano uses the same anchor assembly across the board.

No, having spent way too much time on my hands and knees looking for the white or black bushing parts, that flew off and disappeared, and finding out that the complete replacements ones we had on hand were different, I can say that there are at least two different types. Andy.
