BB30 cranks with PF30 bottom bracket?

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 2014 Specialized Roubaix S Works frameset. It has PF30 bottom bracket(68mm) pre-installed. I plan to migrate some parts from my older bike which has an FSA BB30 crankset. Can I use a BB30 crankset with a PF30 bottom bracket?

Thanks.

Shaun

OP; Suggest email the folks at Velo Orange site. I would bet they know. If it isn't compatible, I am also betting they have something that will fix the situation.

Hope that helps.

It'll work just fine. The BB30 crank will just slip in fine into the PF30 bottom bracket.

Hence the '30' - that's how many mm the crank spindle is.

PF30 is just an improvement to the BB30 standard, only affecting the interface between the frame and the bearings. So frames are either BB30 or PF30, but any BB30 crank is also PF30.
